Karen keeps the wheels turning at Professional Insight, Inc., managing the accounting and office operations. Karen possesses over 15 years of experience in accounting, payroll, and office management, and excels at organizing and simplifying processes to make the organization simply run smoother.
Prior to Professional Insight, Karen worked for several leading companies, including an IT Solutions company, MGIC-a nationally recognized mortgage insurance company, and Georgia Pacific, serving the company in several tactical and strategic roles in her 9 years with the company. Initially starting in a data entry role with GP, Karen was asked to join a special project team which was developing a strategy to convert thirteen packaging plants to a new A/P system. Once the project was complete, she was approached by the company's tax department to join them as an A/P sales and use tax specialist, continuing to work on special projects to improve A/P process.
Karen grew up in Florida, so she loves the beach. She travels there often to visit family. She truly enjoys the fine art of fruit picking (visiting local U-Pick berry and fruit farms), enjoying the Georgia outdoors and local festivals with her husband and daughter. When at home, she tends to her new vegetable garden or enjoys a little quiet time crocheting, even though she admits this makes her sound just a little "old fashioned."
